Join the PPSA for a workshop with Raquel M. Arrendondo (she/her), Assistant Dean for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the Graduate School of Education.
Tuesday, July 12, 12pm-1pm @ Irvine Auditorium’s Cafe 58
Over the past couple of years, we have seen organizations prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion and make great strides in creating inclusive cultures of belonging. At the foundation of these successful initiatives has been psychological safety. Efforts to create an inclusive culture through building diverse talent pipelines and establishing equitable practices are only successful when individuals know that their identity is fully supported by their environment and are encouraged to bring their full, authentic self to work. During this session we’ll examine what constitutes psychological safety, the importance of creating space in which all individuals feel a sense of belonging, and the steps that you can take to create psychological safety as an individual as well as for your team.
Boxed Lunches Provided. BYO Beverage.
